|Workshop: “Discover your potential to use HPC”; live demo of HPC4SME Assessment Tool||
On the workshop special attention will be brought to the HPC4SME Assessment Tool. HPC4SME Assessment Tool is a web-based instrument that offers SMEs the opportunity to self-assess their “HPC-readiness” and discover if and how they can benefit from supercomputing services. SMEs are invited to participate in the workshop and take part in a live demonstration of the assessment process.
The workshop is scheduled to take place between 9:30 am and 13:00 pm.

CESGA and Appentra joint forces to share the results of their technological research and infrastructure with the code developers from industry and academia.Both want to “support technological projects staff and boost the execution of their simulation applications using the hardware, software and the expertise provided by the mentors from CESGA and Appentra.” At the end of the event the attendees should have an updated and GPU-powered version or a roadmap to get to it.
The event targets Parallel Software developers wishing to get the optimization provided by GPU power or simply accelerate their application.

|Introduction to High Performance Computing for SMEs||The Irish Centre for High-End Computing (ICHEC) is to hold a 1-day course on “Introduction to High Performance Computing for SMEs“, supported by the Horizon 2020 “SESAME Net” project. The course is aimed at companies who are interested in learning about the fundamentals of High Performance Computing (HPC), or supercomputing, that leverages parallel processing to improve performance, scalability and accuracy. As part of the international HORIZON 2020 project “SESAME Net – Supercomputing Expertise for Small and Medium Enterprises” cooperation meeting between HPC centers and SMEs in Balkan region will be held on 27th March 2017 at the Institute of Physics, Belgrade, Serbia.
Ruder Boskovic Institute, Center for Informatics and Computing, as a partner in the project, will meet with representatives of the Institute of Physics Belgrade (Serbia), University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Sciences (Serbia), University of Kragujevac (Serbia), Saints Cyril and Methodius University of Skopje (Macedonia), University of Montenegro (Montenegro) and several SMEs.
